I stumbled across Luna Apartments Estonia during a last-minute booking frenzy, and honestly? Best travel mistake I ever made. The place sits right on Mere puiestee – which locals just call Mere pst – and you’re literally a three-minute walk from Tallinn’s Old Town walls. I mean, you can see the medieval towers from some of the windows, which is pretty wild when you’re brushing your teeth in the morning.

What really got me was how quiet it stays despite being in the thick of everything. The building has this solid, almost fortress-like feel that cuts out most of the street noise, though you’ll still catch the occasional tram rumbling by on nearby Narva maantee. The apartments themselves are spacious in that distinctly Northern European way – clean lines, lots of natural light, and kitchenettes that actually work (I made decent coffee every morning, which is saying something). The staff really knows their stuff too; when I mentioned wanting to find a good Estonian breakfast spot, the front desk guy immediately pointed me toward a little place on Viru street that I never would’ve discovered otherwise.

Location-wise, you’re in this sweet spot where you can walk to basically everything but still escape the tourist crowds when you need to. The harbor’s right there if you want to catch a ferry to Helsinki – actually, you can smell the sea air on windy days, which I wasn’t expecting in a city center. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle (welcome to European cities, right?), but there’s a decent garage about two blocks away that won’t completely destroy your budget. What really sealed the deal for me was how the place manages to feel both modern and respectful of Tallinn’s character. You know how some hotels just plop themselves anywhere? This one actually belongs here. The 9.1 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed a few nights – it’s not flashy or trying too hard, just genuinely good at what it does.

  We had a great stay at this apartment. It was very clean and well-maintained. The location was excellent, very close to the Tallinn old town. The host was responsive and quick to answer any questions, and the reception staff were also very helpful. The air conditioning worked well, which was a big plus during the hot days.   Todella siisti asunto, hyvällä sijainnilla! Asunnosta löytyy kaikki tarvittava. Oltiin perheen kanssa (2 aikuista ja yksi teini) niin mahduttiin hyvin tänne. Asunnosta löytyy ilmastointi, mikä oli pelastus hellepäivinä! Ulkoa kuuluu kyllä äänet autotieltä, mutta ei haitannut nukkumista yhtään.

  The owner was super friendly and nice. The flat next to the city center. Just 5-10 mins you will reach the bars, restaurants. It was so clean and tidy. Check-in and check-out was super easy. Also very easy to find the apartment. The receptionist guy was so kind too. I teally liked the flat. The decoration of the apartment is very sweet. Very modern! I recommend this place.
  
  What could be improved: From my side I have only negative feedback. Water goes under the shower and the bathroom is flooded. Something should be put under the shower door!
