Lovely Apartment in Tallinn Old Town Overview

You know what really struck me about Lovely Apartment in Tallinn Old Town? It’s actually tucked right into the medieval maze where you can hear church bells from St. Catherine’s ringing every hour – which sounds romantic until you realize it happens at 6 AM too, but honestly, I got used to it pretty quickly. The whole building has this lived-in feel that’s way more authentic than those sterile hotel chains, and when I first walked up those narrow cobblestone steps with my suitcase, I knew I was staying somewhere with real character.

The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious for Old Town standards – I mean, we’re talking about buildings that are literally centuries old, so you expect everything to be cramped, but there’s actually room to spread out your stuff without tripping over everything. The windows look out onto one of those winding medieval streets where locals still live and work, not just tourist traps, which gives you this genuine glimpse into how Tallinn actually functions. I spent way too much time just watching people walk by with their groceries or chatting with neighbors. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to grab some black bread and Estonian cheese from the little shop around the corner – though honestly, with all the incredible restaurants within a five-minute walk, I barely used it except for morning coffee.

What really makes this place special is how it puts you right in the thick of things without feeling like you’re staying in a museum. You can stumble out the front door and be at Raekoja plats (Town Hall Square) in maybe three minutes, but walk the other direction and you’ll find yourself on quieter residential streets where tour groups never venture. The 9.7 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not fancy in that Instagram-perfect way, but everything works exactly like it should, and the host clearly knows what travelers actually need. Fair warning though: if you’re coming in summer, book way ahead because Old Town apartments like this one get snatched up fast, and parking is basically impossible nearby (but the tram system is dead simple if you’re flying in). I’d honestly stay here again in a heartbeat – there’s something about falling asleep to the sound of footsteps on medieval cobblestones that you just can’t get anywhere else.

We couldn't ask for more! The apartment was great and our host was the best we have ever had! We had a great time in Tallinn and this apartment was one good reason for it. I have never rated a room with 10 but now I do it with all my heart! Kertu thank you so much! People, if you are visiting Tallinn do not hesitate to book this room! ❤️

  • Siiri from United Kingdom – 1 August 2024 (10/10)

A wonderful, cosy well equipped apartment conveniently situated in the quieter part of the old town. The hosts have thought of everything and provided even toiletries and new toothbrushes which was a very welcomed gesture especially after our luggage got delayed for 2 days… The apartment was clean throughout, bedding comfortable and there were plenty of towels. It was heartwarming to discover homegrown vegetables and fruit left by the host for our use. Communication with the host was easy and quick throughout our stay. Would definitely stay there again!

  • Michele from Netherlands – 25 July 2024 (9/10)

Amazing location, super helpful host, and there’s everything you might need in the house, including toiletries, cooking supplies, etc. a lot more than in your average airbnb! Very clean, spacious, and comfortable.

What could be improved: The only improvements would be a shower box instead of just a bathtub and a better mattress (it’s way too soft, pretty bad if you have back pain). It’s also a bit dark since it’s at street level, and if you open the windows everyone can peek inside.

  • John from United States – 20 July 2024 (10/10)

This property was comfortable and we really enjoyed our 3 week stay. The location is great, right in the old town. The owner was very kind as well.

Very well equipped spacious ,clean apartment.
Lovely range of toiletries in bathroom. Appreciated lovely fresh flowers .Fantastic location and generally quiet.Communicative and friendly host.

What could be improved: Windows a little tricky to open. I loved the stylish bath but it only has hand held shower head.

  • Marten from Estonia – 13 May 2024 (10/10)

Location was spot on 300m to old town so it was easy to go everywhere.
Cleaniness, easy to get keys, comfort bed, home vibe so i would reccomend it to anyone who think is it worth to stay there or no. 🙂

What could be improved: loved it all.

  • Ioannis from Estonia – 28 September 2023 (10/10)

Perfect Location, apartment was clean, fully equipped. We will surely revisit if we need a short stay in Tallinn!

What could be improved: The only thing that was a bit uncomfortable, was that there were no totally black blinds and we were not accustomed to sleep with light 🙂
