Sometimes the best finds are the ones that don’t try too hard to impress you from the street. This 3-star gem sits quietly in a residential neighborhood that feels authentically Estonian, where you’ll hear more Estonian than English on the sidewalks – which I actually loved. The area has this lived-in quality that tourist zones just can’t replicate, with local cafés and small shops that clearly serve the people who actually live here, not just visitors passing through.

What struck me most about staying here was how the apartment managed to feel both homey and thoughtfully designed. The space has that Scandinavian-influenced minimalism that works so well in Baltic cities – clean lines, plenty of natural light, and everything you actually need without the clutter. I mean, the kitchen was better equipped than some full-service hotels I’ve stayed at, which came in handy since there’s a Rimi supermarket just a few minutes’ walk away (locals shop there, so you know the prices are reasonable). The Wi-Fi was solid – I had several video calls with no issues – and honestly, the whole place just felt like someone’s well-maintained home rather than a sterile hotel room. That 9.5 rating isn’t an accident; you can tell they really care about the details here.

Location-wise, Kristiine might not be Old Town, but that’s actually part of its charm. You’re about a 15-minute tram ride from Tallinn’s main attractions, which means you get to see how the city actually functions beyond the medieval walls and souvenir shops. The tram stop is close enough that you don’t need to think about it, but far enough that you won’t hear it rumbling by at night. I found myself walking to the nearby Kristiine Centre when I needed anything – it’s one of those practical Estonian shopping centers that locals use, not a tourist trap. The building itself is quiet (solid construction, thankfully), and parking wasn’t the nightmare I’d expected in a European city. Look, it’s not going to wow you with a grand lobby or a rooftop bar, but if you want a genuine base for exploring Tallinn without paying Old Town prices or dealing with cruise ship crowds stumbling past your window at midnight, this place just works. Plus, there’s something satisfying about staying somewhere that feels like a well-kept local secret rather than another booking dot com recommendation.

  Wir hatten einen wirklich tollen Aufenthalt und können das Apartment nur weiterempfehlen. Besonders gefallen hat uns die tolle Lage und die komfortable und moderne Ausstattung. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, was den Urlaub noch schöner gemacht hat. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

  Can find everything we needed. Nice, clean, comfortable. Located not far from shopping mall. About 30min to Tallinn center by foot. Parking place. Accurate instructions from host. Since main room is on the 2nd floor it heats up over day if the weather is hot, but portable air cooler is provided.
  
  What could be improved: The only discomfort- traffic noise in the morning. Must close windows for the night, but even this doesn't help when heavy transport is passing on nearby street.

  Kaikki oli siistiä, uutta, mietittyä. Mukavalla sijainnilla ja todella ystävällisen oloiset majoittajat.

  Asunto oli todella siisti ja kaunis. Se on juuri remontoitu laadukkaasti. Kahvia ja teetä oli tarjolla ja sisäänkirjautuminen koodilla oli helppoa. Majoitus oli helppo löytää ja lähellä oli ilmaista pysäköintiä.
  
  What could be improved: Asuntoon kuului liikenteen äänet isolta tieltä hyvin, joten se oli aika meluisa yöaikaan. Asunnossa oli todella kuuma, eikä ollut ilmastointia.

  Top notch house to stay at! The house is brand new and beautifully designed with great attention to detail. It was very comfortable and felt like an oasis after a long days sightseeing.

  Really neat apartment. Clean, fancy and modern. Stayed for 1 night. Check-in was seamless. Host sent a door code on time and was very responsive when we needed something. The kitchen had all the utensils I needed to prepare meals. Coffee machine had plenty of capsules. Overall, great value for money. Recommend to anyone traveling to this city.
