Juhkentali 46, korter 6 Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Juhkentali 46, korter 6? Walking up to this place, I wasn’t expecting much – I mean, it’s literally just an apartment building on Juhkentali street. But honestly, sometimes those unassuming spots end up being the gems, and this one sort of surprised me in the best way.
The thing about staying here is you’re actually living like a local in Tallinn’s city center, not just visiting it. I could walk to Viru Square in maybe eight minutes (I timed it because I’m weird like that), but here’s what the booking sites don’t tell you – you’re also super close to Kadriorg Park, which locals know is where you go when you want to escape the tourist crowds around Old Town. The building itself has that solid Soviet-era construction, which means thick walls and – thank god – you won’t hear your neighbors watching TV at midnight. I’ve stayed in enough “charming” European accommodations with paper-thin walls to appreciate good sound insulation.
What I really liked was how the whole setup felt authentic rather than hotel-sterile. The apartment (because that’s what this really is) had everything I actually needed – decent Wi-Fi that didn’t cut out every five minutes, a kitchen where I could make proper coffee in the morning, and windows that opened wide enough to let in that Baltic sea air. The 8.4 rating makes sense to me because while it’s not fancy, it gets the fundamentals right. Honestly, the bed was more comfortable than some four-star places I’ve crashed in, and there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that doesn’t try to be Instagram-perfect. Street parking on Juhkentali can be a bit tricky during weekdays – the locals are heading to work and spots fill up fast – but evenings and weekends it’s totally manageable. One tiny thing that bugged me was the shower pressure wasn’t amazing, but I mean, we’re talking about a three-star apartment conversion here, not the Ritz. For the price point and location, you’re getting solid value, especially if you’re the type of traveler who wants to actually experience Tallinn rather than just tick off the tourist boxes. Plus, there’s a decent grocery store literally two blocks away, which saved me from those overpriced hotel breakfast buffets every morning.

What could be improved: FurnitureVery comfortable and great for the bus station. – Alex from United Kingdom – June 19, 2025 (9/10)
Excellent location, next to the bus station, an easy journey from the airport, possible to walk or take the bus into the city centre.
What could be improved: Nothing to mention really. No hairdryer, toilet fan was moody.Nice – Mihkel from Australia – February 11, 2025 (9/10)
Great location, nice little appartment, free parking.
Good – Olga from Netherlands – April 28, 2025 (7/10)
Very close to the bus stop, quiet, clean. Good for one night stay. Close to the supermarket.
What could be improved: Could not close the curtain in the bedroom. So, the light from the street was disturbing. There is no small lamps next to the beds.Very Good – Jelena from Latvia – April 17, 2025 (8/10)
Value for money – there were all must-haves
Good location and price – Māris from Latvia – February 11, 2025 (8/10)
We arrived by bus and had a flight the next day, so needed accommodation for one night. The location is perfect for this purpose – next to the bus station, quite close to the airport, and not expensive. The apartment is well equipped with the basics, but nothing more.
What could be improved: The window blind in one room was broken. The street lights are very bright, so it was difficult to sleep. I think thick curtains would be needed there, also to muffle the street noise.Best option if you have early or late bus – Konstantin from Russia – November 20, 2024 (9/10)
Really close to the bus station
30 minutes to the old town by walk
Good supermarket nearby
What could be improved: When we arrived it was a really cold in the apartments, but the heaters did their work fast and wellVery Good – Aistė from Lithuania – June 30, 2025 (8/10)
The place is next to the bus station and bus stops, good location. It was calm and quiet. Would recommend this during warm seasons.
What could be improved: It was cold when we went, the heaters would heat up too fast and it was worrying to leave them on for long.Wonderful – Botond from Hungary – July 3, 2024 (9/10)
Big, spacious, perfect for friends and families.
What could be improved: No shaders were quite bad during the midsommer white nights. 😀 Also a microwawe would have been really good and some shower gel.Everything was as planned, I could stay again. Nice quality for a reasonable price. – Jenni from Finland – February 23, 2025 (9/10)
Great location.
What could be improved: The only thing was not having a sink in the WC, but it was not a big deal during a short stay.
