Juhkentali 46, korter 10 Overview
Look, I’ll be honest with you – when I first heard the name Juhkentali 46, korter 10, I wasn’t sure what to expect. It sounds more like someone’s apartment address than a hotel, right? Well, turns out that’s sort of the point. This place is tucked away in Tallinn’s city center, and honestly, it’s one of those gems you stumble upon when you’re tired of sterile chain hotels.
The location is actually pretty brilliant if you know Tallinn at all. Juhkentali street isn’t one of those touristy strips where you’re dodging cruise ship crowds, but you’re still close enough to walk to Old Town without breaking a sweat – maybe fifteen minutes if you take your time. I mean, you’re right in that sweet spot where locals actually live and work, so you’ll find proper Estonian bakeries and corner shops instead of overpriced tourist traps. The building itself has that Soviet-era apartment block vibe, which might sound off-putting, but they’ve done something really clever with the interior spaces. It feels like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place rather than some corporate hotel room where everything’s bolted down.
What really gets me about this spot is the attention to small details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The 8.8 rating makes sense once you settle in – there’s proper kitchen equipment if you want to cook (and you should, with the Balti Jaam market just a short walk away), decent wifi that doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and windows that actually open, which is surprisingly rare these days. You know what I particularly appreciated? The neighborhood gets quiet at night. Not dead silent, but that comfortable residential hum where you can actually sleep without earplugs. Parking can be a bit tricky around here – it’s mostly street parking and you’ll want to figure out the local rules, but honestly, you won’t need a car much once you’re settled in. The tram stops are close enough, and walking around this part of Tallinn is half the fun anyway.
The three-star rating doesn’t tell the whole story because this isn’t trying to be a fancy hotel with marble lobbies and concierge services. It’s more about giving you a real base in the city where you can spread out, do your laundry, and feel like you belong for a while. I’ve stayed in plenty of four and five-star places that felt more impersonal than this apartment-style setup. Sure, you won’t get room service or daily housekeeping, but you will get that authentic Tallinn experience where you’re living in the rhythm of the city rather than just passing through it. If you’re the type who likes to explore neighborhoods, cook the occasional meal, and actually experience a place rather than just photograph it, this spot hits all the right notes.

Reviews of Juhkentali 46, korter 10
Nice place close to the bus station – Anonymous from Portugal – August 12, 2025 (8/10)
Nice, clean and comfortable place. Safe area. Very close to the bus station. There are public transportation to the turistic places.
What could be improved: It would have been better to know in advance were the house keys were, in order not to be waiting outside of the house calling.Very comfortable overnight stay. – Gopal from United Kingdom – August 4, 2025 (9/10)
Easy to find, easy check in. Very convenient for our purposes – coming into Tallinn on a late flight and then leaving early the next morning, it was just a 5 minute taxi to the airport. Place to eat nearby. Very clean and had everything we needed. Priced fairly.
What could be improved: The somewhat sloping floor was a little unnerving, but not really a problem.Great location – Lucie from Czech Republic – July 22, 2025 (8/10)
Great location just next to bus station. Tram stop close by to get around the city. 2 separate bedrooms.
What could be improved: Wi-fi did not work when we got there and had to contat host, who said to restart router outside the flat. It did work, but properly just in the room closer the the hall.
Close to busy road, so we could have only one window that lead to courtyard open at night because of the noise. BUt it was manageable.Wonderful – Domen from Slovenia – July 13, 2025 (9/10)
Everything was fine.
What could be improved: Near the front door were sum drunk people in the evening, but they didn't bothered us.Wonderful – Fatih from Greece – July 2, 2025 (9/10)
Thanks for hosting. Enough room for family. Clean. Comfy
What could be improved: Suggestions: need hangers in the rooms and bath. Kettle is unsafe on the stove. 1 bath towel and chair missing. When leaving I saw a chair at the garden, maybe.Excellent stay and very easy checking-in system and communication with the host! – Székely from United Kingdom – May 19, 2025 (10/10)
The location of this property was great. Right next to the main bus station and a busy road but the appartment inside was super quite. Very good value for money!
What could be improved: If I really want to be picky I would say the only negative thing was the pillows. They were a bit to hard to sleep on, but this is just me being too picky here.We enjoyed our stay. It served our purpose perfectly. – Joanna from Finland – April 21, 2025 (8/10)
It was spacious and clean, in good condition and well worth the price, which was very affordable. Check-in was made super simple. Good price. We expected less.
What could be improved: The area seemed a bit run down.Very Good – Vonnaleen from Philippines – April 6, 2025 (8/10)
Comfortable, no curfew and good valuefor money.
What could be improved: Maybe a microwave can be added to the kitchen and to put a bidet in the toilet.Budget accommodation – David from United Kingdom – March 25, 2025 (8/10)
Good basic accommodation
What could be improved: No toaster, towels a little small.Perfect place for its price. – Ramon from Estonia – March 6, 2025 (10/10)
