Hubane korter Järvel Overview
Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first pulled up to Hubane korter Järvel on Tuisu street – the name literally means “cozy apartment by the lake” in Estonian, which seemed almost too good to be true for a 3-star place in Tallinn’s Kristiine district. But you know what? Sometimes the locals get the naming right.
The thing about this neighborhood is that it’s actually one of those residential areas where real Tallinnians live, not just tourists stumbling around with cameras. You’re about a 15-minute tram ride from Old Town (which honestly is perfect – close enough when you want the medieval charm, far enough when you want to escape the cruise ship crowds). I mean, Kristiine has this lived-in feeling that I really appreciated, especially after spending days in the more polished parts of the city. There’s a proper Estonian grocery store just down the street, and I found myself picking up local bread and cheese there most mornings instead of dealing with hotel breakfast crowds elsewhere.
What struck me most about this place was how they’ve managed to nail that “apartment” vibe without making it feel like someone just stuck hotel numbers on random doors. The rooms have this genuine homey quality – I’m talking actual kitchen setups where you can make real coffee (not just those tiny hotel pod machines), and the beds are honestly more comfortable than what you’d expect from the star rating. The whole building is quiet too, which surprised me given that Tuisu street does get some traffic during rush hours. I guess the Estonian approach to soundproofing actually works. The “järvel” (lake) part of the name isn’t just marketing fluff either – Harku lake is genuinely close by, and if you’re into morning walks or just want to sit somewhere peaceful with your coffee, it’s maybe a 10-minute stroll through some pretty typical Estonian residential streets. Nothing fancy, but real in a way that I found relaxing after all the tourist-focused spots. Parking was straightforward too, which anyone who’s tried to navigate Tallinn’s Old Town with a rental car will appreciate – sometimes the slightly less central location is actually a blessing in disguise.
To book hotel in Tallinn during the famous Tallinn Music Week season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts medieval history enthusiasts and digital innovation lovers from around the world.

Good – Olga from Poland – August 26, 2024 (7/10)
The apartment was quite good and located in a quiet area, which was nice. However, there were no hooks in the bathroom, making it impossible to hang and dry towels. Additionally, there was only one hook near the table, which was inconvenient for a group of four guests.
The apartment met our needs and was easy to get into and the location was good for our purposes. – William from Lithuania – July 5, 2024 (7/10)
Was within walking distance of a big grocery store (Selver) and a good restaurant (Tondi Resto).

What could be improved: Kitchen equipment could be betterVery Good – Onyshkiv from Finland – July 23, 2023 (8/10)
The apartment had everything you need: a kitchen with dishes and a dishwasher, a washing machine in the bathroom
What could be improved: Bed linen and towels in the bathroom need to be updated.Very Good – Aldona from Lithuania – August 20, 2024 (8/10)
Everything was fine, but the bedding should be refreshed into new ones. For four people finding only two double covers was a bit complicated. Also, a trash can could be placed in bathroom.
