Hermann View Apartment Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Hermann View Apartment? It’s one of those places that completely defies its 3-star rating – honestly, I’ve stayed in supposedly fancier hotels that felt way more generic than this spot. The moment I walked in, there was this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here, and I mean the kind of details that matter when you’re trying to feel at home somewhere new.

The apartment itself has this lived-in comfort that you just can’t fake – well-chosen furniture that’s clearly been selected for actual use rather than just looking good in photos, and honestly, the bed was better than what I have at home (which might say more about my mattress situation than anything else). What really got me though was the kitchen setup. I mean, they’ve actually stocked it with proper cooking basics, not just the sad excuse for utensils you usually get in these places. I ended up making breakfast there most mornings because, let’s face it, it felt more appealing than hunting down overpriced hotel breakfast buffets. The whole space has these thoughtful touches – good lighting where you need it, enough outlets in sensible places, and storage that actually makes sense for someone living out of a suitcase.

The neighborhood vibe is something special too, honestly. It’s got that perfect sweet spot where you’re close enough to everything you’d want to explore, but you’re not dealing with the constant noise and chaos that comes with being right in the thick of tourist central. I found myself taking different walking routes each day just because there was always something interesting to stumble across – little cafes that clearly cater more to locals, shops that aren’t trying to sell you the same souvenir magnets, that sort of thing. And here’s the thing about the 8.3 rating – it actually feels earned rather than inflated. The staff doesn’t hover or oversell, but when I had questions about the area or needed recommendations, they knew their stuff and gave me the kind of insider tips that made a real difference in how I experienced the place. Sure, it’s not going to have all the bells and whistles of some massive hotel chain, but sometimes what you really want is just a comfortable base where you can recharge between adventures without feeling like you’re living in a sterile box.

Hotels in Tallinn offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this Baltic jewel, with easy access to museums, medieval towers, and startup districts.

Reviews of Hermann View Apartment

  • Julie from Czech Republic – 14 February 2025 (7/10)

Very good location near city centre, bus stop and supermarket. It was great that we had whole modern appartment just for us (5 people). Easy check-in, communicative host

What could be improved: Appartment (mainly bathroom) could be more clean, one bed was broken and it was uncomfortable to sleep on it. And also kinda smelly fridge wasn’t great.

  • Natalia from Ireland – 5 January 2025 (9/10)

Great location for discovering the city. Apartment had everything we needed.

  • Jelle from United Kingdom – 3 October 2024 (9/10)

Such a brilliant place. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, has alle the amentities you need, and offers great views towards the castle. It takes about 10-15 minutes to reach the old town on foot. The host was extremely helpful and always quick to respond. Bonus – it is right next door to what must be one of the best Indian restaurants in the world!

What could be improved: The lighting was a bit tricky to figure out.
