The rooms – well, they’re thoughtfully designed in a way that makes you want to actually spend time in them rather than just crash for the night. Large windows that actually open (thank goodness), and the beds are that perfect firmness where you don’t feel like you’re sinking into quicksand or sleeping on concrete.

Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, and the staff seemed to know the neighborhood inside and out – they pointed me toward this little café around the corner that I never would’ve found otherwise. The location really is the sweet spot though. You’re close enough to walk to the main shopping areas and restaurants, but when you come back in the evening, it’s actually quiet. No construction noise at 6 AM, no drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 2 AM – just that gentle city hum that somehow becomes white noise. Parking was easier than expected too (there’s a small lot behind the building that most people seem to miss). That 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s one of those places that gets the fundamentals right without trying to be flashy about it. The kind of spot where you’d actually book the same room again next time you’re in town, you know?
