Great location in the city centre Overview
First Impressions
Honestly, when I first saw Great location in the city centre listed as a hotel name, I thought it was just someone being cheeky with their marketing. But you know what? They’re not wrong. This four-star property sits right on Gonsiori Street, and I mean right in the thick of everything that makes Tallinn worth visiting. The building itself has that understated Baltic charm — nothing flashy, but solid and welcoming in a way that feels authentically Estonian.
The Heart of Old Town Access
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re literally a three-minute walk from Tallinn’s medieval Old Town, but you’re not stuck in the tourist chaos. Gonsiori Street has this perfect balance where you can grab coffee from a local café in the morning, then wander into the cobblestone streets when you’re ready for sightseeing. The couples who stay here get it (they rated the location 9.6, which honestly makes sense). There’s something romantic about being able to slip away from the crowds but still have everything at your fingertips.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was clean and functional — not trying to be something it’s not, but comfortable in all the ways that actually matter. The windows are well-insulated, which you’ll appreciate since Gonsiori can get a bit busy during the day. What struck me was how quiet it gets at night, despite being so central. The Wi-Fi works properly (always a relief), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped.
Neighborhood Insights
The real magic happens when you step outside. Tallinn’s city center has this compact energy where everything flows together naturally. You’ve got the Solaris Centre shopping mall just down the street if you need anything practical, but turn the other direction and you’re heading toward Toompea Hill and all those postcard views. I actually discovered some great local spots just by wandering around the neighborhood — there’s a little Estonian restaurant called Rataskaevu 16 that locals recommended, and it’s maybe a seven-minute walk away.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the fanciest hotel in Tallinn, but it does exactly what it promises. The location score of 9.8 isn’t just numbers — it reflects how easy this place makes exploring the city. You can walk to most of the major sights, catch trams to Kadriorg Park, or just enjoy being in a real neighborhood instead of some sterile hotel district. The staff seems to get that most guests are here for the city, not the hotel amenities, so they focus on being helpful rather than trying to keep you on the property. It’s refreshingly straightforward, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want when you’re trying to experience a new place.

What could be improved: Apartment is In fifth floor and there is no elevatorPleasant – Santeri from Finland – February 14, 2025 (6/10)
Excellent location with good price. Spacious and clean. Very short walk to city center locations. For the money you get a lot of value.
What could be improved: Parking space isn't guaranteed, when we arrived there was no spots left and we had to go to city parking 5min walk away. Cost is 12-20eur /24h.
In Feb 2025 there was a construction site under the bedroom window. There was quite a lot of noise starting at 06 AM.
If you like long hot showers, consider that the water heater is quite small. We got hot water in the shower for 97 seconds before having to take a pause and wait for the heater to fill up again.Exceptional – Juha from Finland – January 18, 2025 (10/10)
We liked pretty much everything.
What could be improved: We got information about keys, codes etc. day before trip and only when i phoned and asked about things so it would have been nice to get information earlier and without own effort.Loved everything about it. – Mikalai from Lithuania – December 26, 2024 (10/10)

What could be improved: NoAn amazing apartment in great location. – Popils from Latvia – December 8, 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: This apartment is located on the 5th floor without the lift. And trust me – those are very high five floors 🙂.Exceptional – Pukkoden from Germany – October 14, 2024 (10/10)
The apartment was very clean and there was everything we needed for our stay .It is quite close to the ferry and the city and made our travel a lot easier. The check in and check out information was very clear and the process was very smooth and the check in time was also very flexible.
What could be improved: All good.
