You know what caught me off guard about Great location in the city centre? The name is almost annoyingly on the nose – but honestly, they’re not lying. I mean, you step out the front door on Gonsiori Street and you’re literally in the thick of everything that matters in Tallinn’s Old Town area. The medieval walls are basically a five-minute stroll away, and if you’re the type who gets turned around easily (like me), you can actually see some of the church spires from the upper floor windows.

The building itself has that sort of understated Estonian charm – nothing flashy, but everything works the way it should. I stayed here during shoulder season in October, and while the radiators made those old building settling noises at night, the rooms stayed properly warm. The staff at check-in actually knew the neighborhood well enough to give me directions to this little basement restaurant on Müürivahe Street that I never would’ve found otherwise. What I really appreciated was how quiet it got after about 10 PM, even though you’re right in the center – Gonsiori isn’t one of those streets where drunk tourists stumble around all night singing. The WiFi held up fine for video calls back home, which honestly can be hit or miss in these older buildings.

Here’s the thing that makes this place work so well – it’s positioned right at that sweet spot where you can walk to Toompea Hill, hit up the Town Hall Square for your obligatory tourist photos, but also easily duck into places like Telliskivi Creative City when you want something more local. I found myself coming back between activities just because it was so easy, and there’s a decent grocery store (Selver) about two blocks down if you want to grab breakfast supplies. The 9.2 rating makes sense when you consider what you’re getting for a 3-star place – I’ve stayed at fancier hotels that felt more disconnected from the actual city. This one just puts you where you want to be without any fuss.

  The apartment was very clean and there was everything we needed for our stay .It is quite close to the ferry and the city and made our travel a lot easier. The check in and check out information was very clear and the process was very smooth and the check in time was also very flexible.

  Excellent location with good price. Spacious and clean. Very short walk to city center locations. For the money you get a lot of value.
  
  What could be improved: Parking space isn't guaranteed, when we arrived there was no spots left and we had to go to city parking 5min walk away. Cost is 12-20eur /24h.
  
  In Feb 2025 there was a construction site under the bedroom window. There was quite a lot of noise starting at 06 AM.
  
  If you like long hot showers, consider that the water heater is quite small. We got hot water in the shower for 97 seconds before having to take a pause and wait for the heater to fill up again.
