I mean, step outside and you’re immediately surrounded by all those winding cobblestone streets and centuries-old buildings that make Old Town so addictive to explore, but somehow the rooms are insulated from most of the tourist chatter. The walls are thick – proper old-world construction – so you get this cozy, almost cocoon-like feeling once you settle in for the evening. The interiors walk this interesting line between historic charm and modern comfort… there’s clearly been some thoughtful renovation work done, but they haven’t stripped away all the character in favor of sterile contemporary design like so many places do.

I actually ended up extending my stay an extra night because there’s something about the atmosphere that just works. Maybe it’s the way morning light filters through those tall windows, or how you can hear church bells in the distance without them being overwhelming. The staff – well, they’re the kind of people who remember your coffee preference by day two and can point you toward the little family-run restaurants that tourists usually walk right past. You know what I really appreciated? They don’t hover or oversell you on activities, but when you do ask for recommendations, they clearly know the neighborhood inside and out. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving (the old streets weren’t exactly designed for cars), but they’ll sort you out with directions to nearby spots that won’t cost you a fortune. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that endless paperwork some hotels seem to love. The whole experience just felt… authentic, I guess? Like staying with knowledgeable locals rather than being processed through a hospitality machine. It’s earned that 9.4 rating honestly, and I can see why people keep coming back to this particular corner of Old Town.
