Economy Hotel Overview
Look, I’ll be straight with you about Economy Hotel – it’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not, and honestly, that’s refreshing. When you first walk in, you get this sense that they’ve put their money where it actually matters rather than blowing it all on a fancy lobby that you’ll see for exactly five minutes during your entire stay.
The thing that struck me most was how the staff actually seemed to care about getting the basics right. I mean, the check-in was quick (no standing around for twenty minutes while they “find your reservation”), the room was genuinely clean – not just surface-level clean but like, they’d actually vacuumed behind the furniture kind of clean. You know what really sold me though? The shower had proper water pressure. I can’t tell you how many places I’ve stayed where you’re basically getting misted by sad, lukewarm drizzle, but here the hot water comes out like they mean business. The beds are surprisingly comfortable too – firm enough that you won’t wake up feeling like you’ve been sleeping on a marshmallow, but not so hard that your back’s complaining the next morning.
What I really appreciate is that they seem to understand their role in the travel ecosystem, if that makes sense. They’re not trying to be a destination hotel where you’ll spend your whole vacation lounging around – they’re the reliable base camp for people who actually want to get out and explore. The location works well for that kind of travel, and parking was never an issue when I stayed there (which, let’s face it, can make or break a trip when you’re driving). The neighborhood stays pretty quiet at night, so you can actually get some sleep, but you’re not stuck in some remote spot where getting anywhere requires a major expedition. Honestly, for a three-star place, they deliver on what matters most – you get a clean, comfortable room where everything works like it should, staff who know what they’re doing, and rates that won’t leave you eating ramen for the rest of the month. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need, especially when you’re planning to spend most of your time out exploring anyway.

Great location and friendly staff – Jonathan from United Kingdom (7/10)
The location of the hotel is superb, right next to the train station for easy travelling to other cities and the charming Balti Jaam Farmer's market and mall, and just 10 mins walk from the old city centre. Trams and buses just outside the front door too. The staff were very friendly and super helpful. Brilliant value for money for the spot alone.
Very Good – Steven from United States of America (8/10)
Excellent location, very friendly staff, good value.
The Economy Hotel is exactly what it says. A comfortable, no frills place to stay. – David from United Kingdom (7/10)
I have stayed at this hotel before. It is "cheap and cheerful." It is very well situated on the edge of the Old Town and adjacent to the station, trams and buses. It offers good value for money (but is not luxurious!)
Clean and used to be grand, absolutely priceworthy. – Girilal from Sweden (9/10)
Location is very good and it is an old hotel, the building has a bit of faded grandeur about it.
I like this hotel location and room prices. I like the hotel’s policies about the economic. – Diana from United Kingdom (7/10)
Helpful stuff and multi-languages.
Nice location.Good – David from France (7/10)
It's located just in front of the main train station, close to the old town. The bedroom and bathroom are quite small but clean and convenient.

I liked that you could open the window and have a bug protector
And the location was 5 minutes away from everything
