Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Dream Stay – Modern Luxury Apartment in Old Town, I was a bit skeptical. You know how these apartment rentals can sometimes oversell themselves? But this place actually delivers on that “modern luxury” promise, which honestly surprised me.

The apartment sits right in the heart of Old Town, and I mean *right* in it – you’re basically living like a local for however long you’re staying. What struck me immediately was how they’ve managed to blend contemporary design with the character of the old building. The floors are this gorgeous original hardwood (a bit creaky, but in a charming way), while the kitchen and bathroom are completely updated with sleek fixtures and actually decent water pressure. The living space feels bigger than you’d expect, probably because of those high ceilings that old European buildings do so well. There’s this wonderful morning light that comes through the main windows – I found myself having coffee there every day just watching the neighborhood wake up.

The location is where this place really shines, though. You’re walking distance from all the main sights, but more importantly, you’re in an actual residential area where people live and work. There’s a small bakery literally around the corner that opens at 6 AM – the smell of fresh bread will probably wake you up, which is either delightful or annoying depending on your vacation style. I loved it. The streets can get a bit lively on weekend nights (this is Old Town, after all), but it’s more charming than disruptive. Parking is… well, it’s Old Town parking, so manage your expectations there. I’d honestly recommend walking or using public transport anyway – you’ll see so much more of the city that way. The host was really responsive too, which matters when you’re dealing with an apartment rental rather than a traditional hotel. Check-in was smooth, and they left some local recommendations that were actually useful, not just the typical tourist traps. For a 3-star place with an 8.3 rating, it definitely punches above its weight – you’re getting that boutique apartment experience without the boutique price tag.

  Die Lage der Wohnung war absolut zentral um alle Sehenswürdigkeiten leicht zu Fuss zu erreichen im alten Stadtzentrum. Die Wohnung ist sehr stilvoll eingerichtet

  Prachtig appartement met alles erop en eraan. Zeer mooie inrichting, netjes en smaakvol!

  Not very happy that was not advised there was a STRIP Club in the ground floor. A LOT of noise and doors slamming all the way through every night!! As well as the other apartments in the building used as a brothel!!! Horrid!

  Close to old Town.

  No hair dryer for the first 3 nights.

  – Location is fantastic for accessing all main areas of Tallinn conveniently (old town, Rotermanni, city center, trams/buses to everywhere). Quiet street in old town.

  – Good value for the price (especially due to location and pretty apartment)
  
  What could be improved: – The details in the apartment were lacking. Practically no window blinds at all (difficult to sleep in summer!), no Aircon (on sunny summer days the apartment gets hot), very limited storage space for clothes etc., cleaning equipment stored in bedroom corner…
  – We were first missing some towels, and the shower drain wasn't working great, these things we addressed in reasonable time though.
  – It seems that the company is operating huge number of apartments, there's not exactly "personal touch" in how things are handled or attention to detail.
  – The staircase to the apartment is steep, narrow and dirty
