You know what struck me first about Cozy Old Town Historic House? The moment I walked up to the entrance, I could actually smell the history – not in a musty way, but more like that pleasant old wood scent mixed with whatever they use to polish those gorgeous original hardwood floors. It’s the kind of place where you immediately start wondering about all the people who’ve walked through these same doorways over the decades.
The thing is, staying here feels less like checking into a hotel and more like crashing at your most stylish friend’s family home – if your friend happened to have impeccable taste and a thing for preserving architectural details. I mean, the crown molding alone had me taking embarrassing numbers of photos. The rooms manage to pull off that tricky balance of feeling authentically historic while still having everything you actually need (decent water pressure, thank god, and outlets where you need them). Honestly, I was prepared for some of those charming old building quirks – you know, doors that don’t quite close right or floors that creak with every step – but everything felt solid and well-maintained. The staff clearly knows this place inside and out, and they’re the type who remember your name and actually seem to care about whether you found that little coffee shop they recommended.
What really gets me is how they’ve managed to keep the soul of this old house intact while making it work for modern travelers. The common areas have this lived-in elegance that makes you want to curl up with a book, and there’s something about the lighting – probably those vintage-style fixtures – that makes everything feel warm and inviting even on gray days. I actually ended up spending way more time just hanging out in the building than I’d planned, which rarely happens to me. The location puts you right in the heart of things without the chaos, and you can walk to pretty much anywhere worth going in the old town area. Fair warning though – if you’re driving, ask about parking when you book because historic districts can be tricky that way. But honestly, with a 9.7 rating, this place has clearly figured out how to make people happy, and after staying here, I totally get why. It’s one of those rare spots that feels special without trying too hard to be special, if that makes sense.

Exceptional Excellent! I will come back
Extraordinarily cozy old town stay At first, I was hesitant to book because from the pictures, I couldn’t really grasp what I was going to get. Fortunately, I decided to book this amazing house, and it exceeded my expectations. You actually get everything that is depicted in the description and even more. This accommodation is a three-story tiny fairytale castle. Not only is it located in direct proximity to most attractions, but you actually live in one. An amazing, super entertaining maritime museum is just around the corner, and every other must-see point is just a short stroll away. Despite all that, the location is still pretty quiet, so I could sleep with a slightly opened window. The interior is as impressive as the exterior, featuring a lot of cozy lighting options, including kindly provided candles and firewood. Also, you’ll get all essential supplies for cooking (salt, pepper, condiments), doing laundry, and making coffee/tea, which are normally absent in apartments. Although the place is part of a historic building, there were no problems with plumbing/heating whatsoever. The water pressure is great, making it possible to fill a comforting warm bath within just a few minutes. The heating was sufficient, there was even a floor heating option in the bathroom. Regarding sleeping quality, the beds consisted of a mattress and a soft topper, so if you prefer a harder mattress, you can just take off the topper. As for communication, the owner is a very nice lady with a cute clever dog, who answered all my questions and requests almost right away. All in all, that was one of my most memorable stays, and I was feeling lucky instead of being upset when my flight got canceled so I could stay 2 more days!
Very cozy place Very nice old town accommodation if you like rustic style -
