Cozy Home Apartment – Tallinn City Center
Cozy Home Apartment – Tallinn City Center
I'll be honest – when I first saw Cozy Home Apartment - Tallinn City Center listed online, I was a bit skeptical about the name.
I’ll be honest – when I first saw Cozy Home Apartment – Tallinn City Center listed online, I was a bit skeptical about the name. I mean, “cozy” can sometimes be code for “tiny,” you know? But after actually staying there, I get why they went with it. This place really does feel like someone’s thoughtfully put-together home rather than just another sterile apartment rental.
The location is what initially sold me, and honestly, it’s hard to beat. You’re right in the thick of things without being on one of those tourist-clogged streets where you can’t sleep past 7 AM because of the tour groups. I could walk to Toompea Hill in about ten minutes, and Old Town’s cobblestones were literally around the corner – but far enough away that I wasn’t dealing with the restaurant noise and street performers until all hours. What I really appreciated was being able to grab groceries at the Rimi just a few blocks down Narva maantee. Actually, there’s this little Estonian bakery nearby (I think it’s on Gonsiori?) where I’d pick up these amazing kringel pastries for breakfast – way better than hotel continental breakfast, if you ask me.
The apartment itself surprised me in the best way. Sure, it’s not huge, but everything’s been thought through. The kitchen actually has proper knives and decent cookware – not those flimsy things you usually get in rentals. I ended up cooking a few meals because, well, the local markets are fantastic and it felt wasteful not to use such a well-equipped space. The bed was legitimately comfortable (I’m picky about this), and there’s good blackout curtains which you’ll appreciate during those summer months when Tallinn barely gets dark. The Wi-Fi was solid too – I had some work calls and never had connection issues. One small thing that bugged me was the shower pressure could be better, but honestly, after walking around those medieval streets all day, I was just happy to have hot water. The whole place stays pretty quiet too, which impressed me given how central it is. I think the building’s just well-built – those old European apartments often are.
What really sets this place apart is that 9.4 rating, and I can see why it’s so high. The host was incredibly responsive when I had questions about getting to the ferry terminal, and check-in was smooth – none of that awkward key-handoff dance you sometimes get with apartment rentals. You know what struck me most? It felt like staying in a friend’s place rather than a typical vacation rental. There were actual books on the shelves, decent coffee in the kitchen, and those little touches that show someone cares about the guest experience. For a 3-star place, it punches way above its weight. If you’re the type who wants to experience Tallinn like a local rather than a tourist – making your own coffee, popping out for fresh bread, having a real home base to return to – this place gets it right.

The apartment was really modern and the facilities were good (the TV is huge :D) I especially liked the style of the place and the lights everywhere. The old town was not far from the apartment, we could easily walk. I liked the neighbourhood, it was quiet and I felt safe. We would definitely stay there again. :)
What could be improved: Nothing.
Feels like home. It’s clean and everything you need is already there. It is also safe to walk at 5am or late at night.
Everything was fine,
What could be improved: the only problem was the noise from the neighboring apartments
Nice and tidy. Well located. Decent building and decent apartment. All hardware in working condition & a giant curved flat TV. Helpful and lively host (Ms. Irina) 😇. Strongly recommend that you give this flat a try if you plan a visit to Tallinn... 👍🏻
