City Yard Inn Hotel Overview
You know what surprised me most about City Yard Inn Hotel? It’s one of those places that completely defies your expectations based on the name alone. I mean, when you hear “city yard,” you’re probably picturing some industrial courtyard situation, but honestly, this 3-star spot has way more character than that suggests.
The first thing that hits you when you walk in is how the lobby actually feels lived-in rather than sterile – there’s this comfortable buzz of conversation, and the staff genuinely seems to know what they’re doing instead of just going through the motions. Check-in was refreshingly quick, which I appreciated after a long travel day. The rooms themselves are what I’d call “thoughtfully simple” – not trying to be something they’re not, but everything works properly (the shower pressure is actually decent, thank god) and the beds are surprisingly comfortable for a mid-range place. The 8.9 rating makes total sense once you’re there for a night or two.
What really won me over, though, were the little details that someone clearly put thought into. The windows are well-insulated, so you’re not dealing with street noise at all hours – something that can make or break a city stay, honestly. There’s also this nice balance where you feel connected to the neighborhood energy without being overwhelmed by it. The surrounding area has that authentic local vibe where you’ll find yourself wandering into cafes and shops that locals actually use, not just tourist traps. Parking isn’t a nightmare either, which anyone who’s tried to navigate city hotels knows is basically a miracle. I noticed the housekeeping staff takes their time rather than rushing through – fresh towels that actually smell clean, and they don’t just make the bed but actually straighten the whole room. It’s those small things that add up to feeling like you’re staying somewhere people care about rather than just another stop on a corporate hotel chain. If you’re looking for a place that delivers on comfort and service without the pretentious atmosphere or inflated prices, this is honestly one of the better options I’ve found.

Reviews of City Yard Inn Hotel
Exceptional – At from Austria (9/10)
First of all, the staff was friendly, everything was clean and tidy. I have no complaints. Everything was fine and I recommend it to everyone. The hotel is located not far from the beach and from the shopping center as well as near the harbor for ships. Great experience.
Exceptional – Eleonora from Lithuania (9/10)
Everything was perfect. We especially appreciated the possibility of late checkout (after midday)
Very Good – Jack from Poland (8/10)
It's not like it's 5-star super posh hotel with a sea view but that's not a problem at all. For that price you get a room with nice and comfy bed and a small kitchenette. It's clean, you don't hear neighbours, it's located next to the modern city center and big supermarket. Photos are 100% accurate and staff is ready to help you if necessary.
Nice modern hotel in good location – Daniel from United Kingdom (9/10)

Nice room, with a small, functional, well equiped kitchen. Not a lot of space, but enough. Bed was comfortable

Clean cozy fully furnished people kind and professionals
Exceptional – Sviatlana from Belarus (9/10)
Nice location, close to the city center. Calm and quiet, no loud roads around. Being alight sleeper, I was in heaven 🙂 The room is pretty small, but cosy. There's no wardrobe in case you have more than a backpack of clothes. An iron in the common area was a pleasant discovery (didn't use it though).
A nice and reasonable stay in heart of Tallinn – Bimal from United States of America (9/10)

Perfectly clean, the best equipment of kitchen so far, the hotel feels like new, everything is modern, clean and comfortable, quiet at night. I would definitelly recommend and stay again. Everything is close, 10 min walking to the port, 10 min walking to the old town, easy and short way to the airport.
