The studio itself is pretty straightforward – clean, functional, with that slightly minimalist Scandinavian vibe that Estonia does so well. The bed was actually comfortable, which honestly surprised me given the price point, and the little kitchenette meant I could make proper coffee in the morning instead of that instant stuff some places try to pass off.

Here’s the thing about staying right in Tallinn’s city center though – it can get a bit lively on weekend nights, especially during summer when everyone’s out enjoying those ridiculously long daylight hours. I’m talking people chatting and laughing on the street until pretty late, but it’s more charming than annoying if you’re not a super light sleeper. The walls are decent enough that I never heard neighbors, which is more than I can say for some fancier places I’ve stayed. What really won me over was the practical stuff – check-in was smooth (they actually answered their phone when I called about arriving early), there’s a grocery store literally two blocks away on Viru Street, and parking… well, you don’t really need it here, but if you’re driving, there are spots nearby. The 8.8 rating makes total sense to me because while it’s not luxury by any stretch, it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. You’re paying for location and cleanliness, and you’re getting both in spades. Plus, when you can roll out of bed and be sipping mulled wine at the Christmas market in December or watching street performers in summer within minutes, you start to realize that sometimes a comfortable base in the perfect spot beats a fancy room in the middle of nowhere every single time.
