Charming Penthouse with Sauna in Old Town Overview
You know what struck me first about Charming Penthouse with Sauna in Old Town? The address – Uus tänav 22 – literally means “New Street,” which is honestly pretty funny since you’re staying right in the heart of medieval Tallinn. I mean, this street is probably older than most American cities, but here we are.
The penthouse itself is genuinely something special, and I say that as someone who’s stayed in way too many “luxury” places that turned out to be all hype. This one actually delivers on the 9.5 rating it’s got going for it. The sauna – well, this is Estonia, so of course there’s a proper sauna – sits right there in your space, and after walking around Old Town’s cobblestones all day (trust me, wear good shoes), it’s exactly what you need. The whole setup feels authentically Estonian rather than some generic European rental trying too hard to impress tourists. When you step out onto what I assume is the terrace or balcony area, you’re looking out over red-tiled roofs and church spires that have been there for centuries. It’s the kind of view that makes you understand why people fall in love with this city.
Location-wise, you’re basically in the sweet spot. Old Town can get pretty packed with cruise ship crowds during summer days, but staying right on Uus tänav means you can duck back to your place easily when it gets overwhelming, then head back out once the day-trippers clear out around 5 PM. That’s when Old Town really comes alive anyway – the restaurants get busy with locals, the light turns golden on those limestone walls, and you can actually hear your own thoughts. The Town Hall Square is maybe a two-minute walk, Toompea Hill is right there, and honestly, you can walk to pretty much anywhere worth seeing in the old city. Parking’s always tricky in this part of town (it’s medieval, what do you expect?), but most people just use the P1 garage near Viru Gate and walk – it’s really not far. I actually found the check-in process smooth, which isn’t always a given with these boutique places, and the host clearly knows the property well. The 4-star rating feels about right – it’s got that high-end feel without being stuffy or overly formal. If you’re coming in winter, which honestly might be the best time to visit Tallinn anyway, having your own sauna becomes less of a luxury and more of a necessity after wandering around in -10°C weather exploring the Christmas markets.
Hotel in Tallinn booking should be done early, especially during White Nights season when the city hosts internationally acclaimed cultural and technology events.

Exceptional – Tim from United States – July 4, 2025 (10/10)
Absolutely amazing property! Location was great, staff was super flexible and friendly, tons of space with three full bedrooms, clothes washer in the unit, and everything appeared to be recently updated and immaculate. Highly recommend and would totally stay here again. Maybe the best rental property I've ever stayed in!

Great location. Very good apartment for big company – it has lots of necessities, plenty of space. Host was very responsive. We had a problem with water, but it was solved quickly and our party was left satisfied. Sauna was great.
Honorable mention to fun elevatorKiva paikka hyvällä sijainnilla. – Sami from Finland – July 20, 2025 (10/10)
Erinomainen sijainti!
What could be improved: Kattiloita voisi olla vielä 1 isompi, niin pärjäisi hyvin 6 hengen ruoanlaitossa. Samoin perinteinen kahvinkeitin olisi kiva lisä.Exceptional – Edvin from Estonia – June 15, 2025 (10/10)
