You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Braavo Spa Hotel when I first pulled up – honestly, it looks pretty unassuming from the outside. But sometimes those mid-range places surprise you, and this one definitely did. The lobby has this understated elegance thing going on, sort of minimalist but warm, if that makes sense. Not trying too hard to impress, which I actually appreciated after staying at some overly flashy spots that felt more like theme parks than hotels.

The real draw here is obviously the spa situation, and they’ve got it figured out. I mean, you can literally smell the eucalyptus and lavender oils the moment you step off the elevator on the spa floor – it’s pretty intoxicating. The treatment rooms are soundproofed really well (I could barely hear the street noise, which is saying something), and the therapists actually know what they’re doing. I did this hot stone massage that honestly left me feeling like jelly for about three hours afterward. The relaxation area has these amazing heated loungers where you can just zone out with some herbal tea – I probably spent way too much time there, but hey, that’s vacation, right? Fair warning though: book spa treatments early because they fill up fast, especially on weekends.

The rooms themselves are solid – nothing fancy, but everything works and it’s clean. The beds are surprisingly comfortable for a 3-star place, and I’m pretty picky about mattresses. You’ll get decent water pressure in the shower, which sounds basic but you’d be amazed how many places mess that up. The whole vibe is just… relaxed. Staff doesn’t hover but they’re helpful when you need them. I had this one front desk guy who gave me perfect directions to a little café down the street that wasn’t in any guidebook – those kinds of touches matter. Parking was easy enough, and check-in was smooth. Honestly, with an 8.4 rating, they’re doing something right. It’s not going to blow your mind with luxury, but if you want a genuine spa experience without the ridiculous price tag of those resort places, Braavo hits that sweet spot perfectly.

  Everything! Nice, spacious and clean room. Couldn’t have been better situated in the Old Town of Tallinn. Incredibly nice swimming pools and gym. Everything was perfect!

  Great location on the edge of the old town (a quiet area but 10 minutes from everywhere within the historic centre). The hotel has a slight motel feel, but the room was generously sized and everything was clean and functional. Reception were friendly and helpful. But best of all the hotel was attached to a large spa used by locals and guests were allowed free entry. Imagine something slightly more Soviet than a modern spa with massage parlours and Buddhism. But for me it was great! I think there were about ten various saunas.

  Kind of a sport hotel. They do have a big gym and pool area together with saunas. Different pools with different temperatures in it. If you wish to have a swim you can use a separate pool with two lanes dedicated for swimmers. Other pools meant for water procedures or relaxation. All pools are located in one area.

  The room was clean and spacious. You can do check-in online and receive your door code by SMS so you do not need even reception if you wish you can go directly to your room after you arrived. Also check-out the same.
  Breakfast was not huge, but it was absolutely enough for us.
  The location is really good – basically in the old town.
