Bob W Avangard Overview
You know what really struck me about Bob W Avangard? It’s one of those places that completely defies what you’d expect from a 3-star hotel. I mean, honestly, I’ve stayed in plenty of supposedly fancier places that didn’t have half the character this spot does. The whole vibe is sort of industrial-chic meets Scandinavian minimalism – think exposed concrete softened with warm wood accents and these really thoughtful lighting choices that make everything feel cozy rather than stark.
The rooms are actually pretty clever in how they’re designed. They’re not huge, but whoever planned the layout really understood how travelers actually use space. There’s this little nook area that works perfectly as a desk during the day, then becomes your spot to decompress with a drink in the evening. The beds are surprisingly comfortable too – I’m talking proper sleep, not that stiff hotel mattress nonsense you sometimes get. What really got me though was the attention to small details. The bathroom products smell incredible (sort of citrusy but not overwhelming), and there are these little hooks and shelves positioned exactly where you’d want them. You can tell someone who actually travels had input on the design.
The whole place has this relaxed, almost residential feel that I really appreciated. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no lengthy spiel about amenities you’ll never use, just friendly staff who seemed genuinely happy to help. I noticed they get a good mix of business travelers and tourists, which usually means a place is doing something right across the board. The common areas have this nice buzz without being noisy, and there are plenty of spots to work or just hang out with a coffee. Actually, speaking of coffee – theirs is legitimately good, not that burnt hotel lobby stuff. The 8.7 rating makes complete sense when you experience the place firsthand. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, but what it does, it does really well. I’d definitely stay here again, and more importantly, I’d recommend it to friends without any hesitation – which, let’s be honest, is the real test of whether a place is worth your time and money.

Exceptional – Yiu from United Kingdom (9/10)
It's a new building and things are well decorated. It's close to the tram station and around 10-15 minutes to the central area.
A nice place to stay, close to the old town and comfortable enough – Mariia from Czech Republic (8/10)
The room was efficient – not too spacious, but enough space for everything necessary. I received the code for opening the front doors and the room in time, codes worked fine, so I had no problems entering. The hotel's whatsapp is ready to answer in case any questions arise, so there are no problems about reception working online only (I don't know what happens if someone doesn't have a smartphone with internet access). Bed was fine, bathroom with necessities were also convenient, my window faced a relatively quite courtyard, so not too much noise at night. All fine.
Location especially good if you are attending events at Tallinn University (right across the street), but also close to the old town. Food available in vicinity, open until 10-11 pm.Reccomend! – Akvilė from Lithuania (9/10)
Good things:
Everything in the room is really welcoming. They provide extras like a charger, a Polaroid camera, an amazing kitchen with a dishwasher, heating plates, a fridge, utensils, quality shampoo, body gel, conditioner, and even cotton buds for cleaning ears. The only thing missing was a microwave, which wasn’t an issue since there were heating plates. They also leave a personalized letter on the table for you to read. There is a public and private terrace, which is a great place to relax after a long day of sightseeing. We were given the highest floor, the 6th, which gave us an amazing view of the sunset.
Overall: Without breakfast, it’s totally a 5/5 star stay with an amazing room and supportive team that responds quickly to any questions you have. The only weakness is their breakfast, which highlighted miscommunication between us, the coffee shop, and the team.Fabulous! Great vibe & the breakfast was sensational. – Victoria from Australia (9/10)

Truly enjoyed the experience! The bed was very comfortable, there were many sweet little extras in the room – from a camera to make film photos, a free tote bag to put your things during the trip to little treats with coffee or tea.
