Blacksmith Old Town Apartments Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Blacksmith Old Town Apartments? The name had me expecting some rustic, industrial vibe, but honestly, these places are way more charming than that suggests. I mean, there’s definitely some nod to the blacksmith theme in the decor – you’ll spot wrought iron touches here and there – but it’s done tastefully, not like some cheesy medieval restaurant.

The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious for a 3-star spot. I was expecting cramped European-style rooms, but these actually feel like places you could settle into for more than just a quick overnight stay. The kitchenettes are properly equipped too – not just a mini-fridge and a prayer, but actual cooking space with decent-sized pots and pans. That 8.6 rating makes total sense once you’re inside because the attention to detail is really there. The Wi-Fi actually works (I know, revolutionary concept), and the beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with a medieval torture device all night.

What really sold me on the place was how quiet it gets in the evenings. Old town areas can be tricky – sometimes you’re dealing with late-night revelers stumbling around cobblestone streets until 3 AM, but the location here seems to hit that sweet spot where you’re close enough to walk to everything but far enough from the main party strips to actually get some sleep. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward “here’s seventeen different keys and a manual thicker than a phone book” situation you sometimes get with apartment-style accommodations. The staff genuinely seemed to know their stuff about the neighborhood, which is honestly rarer than it should be. They pointed me toward this little bakery around the corner that I never would have found on my own – the kind of local gem that makes you feel like you’re actually experiencing a place rather than just passing through it. Sure, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury amenities, but sometimes what you really want is just a comfortable, authentic base where you can spread out your stuff and feel somewhat human after a long day of sightseeing.

Apartments in Tallinn provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Estonian markets and cook with fresh Nordic specialties.

Reviews of Blacksmith Old Town Apartments

  • A very good choice and will like to try other apartments too as they are all decorated differently 😍 – Louisa from Hong Kong (9/10)

We stayed in the attic apartment, which is cute and comfortable. The set up is very detail oriented and decor has characters. Love it! Host is very helpful and responsive.

  • Very Good – Bartosz from Poland (8/10)

Location of the apartment, close to the Old Town. Rooms were really stylish with all needed equipment.

  • Great choice for a stay in Tallinn. – Helen from United Kingdom (8/10)

A perfect blend of modern technology in a quant ye olde setting. 1 code opens 3 doors including the one to the apartment. The room was quaint, bed in a nook behind curtains, even a little washing machine, good hot shower. The location was wonderful, close enough to everything to be able to walk and the room was quiet, even with bars and restaurants open when I arrived which was very late. Katya the host had said to message her any time even though I arrived late and I thought that was very conscientious but it is easy to access the property. The stairs are very steep and I was on the top floor but that just added to the charm of stepping back in time.

  • A great place to stay with a terrific host. – Alan from United States of America (9/10)

The host, Katja, made it all easy with good communications using WhatsApp. This is a relaxing 2-story, roomy apartment with style and a great location. I hope to stay here again.

  • See you again;) – Christiane from Germany (9/10)

Very nice and large Apartment. Like the fotos are, no fake! Very nice contact and service. We had a problem with water. It was repaired very fast.

  • I loved it – Eric from Netherlands (9/10)

Excellent apartment. Top location on the edge of the small centre of Tallinn. Electric steps are everywhere so it is easy to go everywhere when walking is just a little for far. It’s close to the airport. Many restaurants, bars, clubs just literally next door.

  • Perfekti location and apartment – Katja from Finland (9/10)

The check in was really smooth. Apartment was spacy, clean and had everything needed. Fresh air. Location of the apartment is excellent. Yes, it is in the same building with Sigmund Freud bar and it might be noisy on Friday or Saturday. Was not a bad thing to us, but for family with a baby/kids weekend might not be best timing.
