There’s this quirky little reading nook by the main window where I ended up spending way too much time people-watching – Old Town locals have this unhurried way of moving that’s almost meditative to observe.

What really sells this place though is how it sits in the neighborhood. You’re a two-minute walk from the main square (I timed it), but tucked away enough that you feel like you’ve discovered some secret. The morning bakery smell from downstairs starts drifting up around 7 AM – natural alarm clock, and honestly not a bad way to wake up. I noticed the 9 rating from other guests makes total sense when you realize this isn’t trying to be some glossy hotel experience. It’s better than that – it’s like borrowing a friend’s place, if your friend happens to live in the most charming part of town and has excellent taste in linens. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the stairs are a bit steep (old building, what can you do?), but that’s a small trade-off for ending up somewhere this genuinely peaceful in such a bustling area.
