Look, I’ll be honest with you – Baltic Accomodation 3 – Rumbi 4-12 isn’t going to win any design awards, but sometimes that’s exactly what you need. When I first walked up to this place, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star spot, but you know what? It actually surprised me in the best possible way.

The thing about this hotel is that it feels real, if that makes sense. No fancy marble lobbies or over-the-top amenities that jack up the price – just solid, comfortable rooms that do exactly what they’re supposed to do. I mean, the 7.5 rating it’s got is pretty much spot-on. The staff actually seem to care about getting things right, which honestly is rarer than it should be these days. My room was clean (really clean, not just “made the bed and called it good” clean), and the bathroom had decent water pressure – something you definitely can’t take for granted everywhere.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it was at night. Sometimes with mid-range hotels you’re rolling the dice on whether you’ll hear every conversation in the hallway or the person above you dropping bowling balls at 2 AM, but the walls here are solid enough that I actually got good sleep. The beds are comfortable too – not luxury resort level, but way better than that rock-hard mattress situation you sometimes get stuck with. Parking was straightforward, which saved me the headache of circling blocks looking for a spot. Check-in was quick, no drama, and they actually had useful recommendations for nearby places to eat that weren’t just the tourist traps. There’s this little café about two blocks away that they told me about – ended up going there three times because their coffee was that good.

I’ll level with you though – this isn’t the place if you’re looking for a spa weekend or want to Instagram your way through a luxury experience. The décor is pretty basic, and you won’t find a concierge or room service. But if you want a reliable, comfortable place to sleep that won’t destroy your budget, and you’re planning to actually get out and explore rather than hang around the hotel all day, then this works really well. The location puts you close enough to things without being right in the middle of all the chaos, which I actually preferred. You can walk to the main areas when you want the action, but come back to somewhere that feels more residential and calm when you’re done with crowds for the day.
